Lindenwood University will host a luncheon titled “Love Your Major” on March 17 from 12 to 1 p.m. in the Spellmann Center’s Anheuser-Busch Leadership Room. Students will have the opportunity to have a conversation with faculty and staff in their major.

Lindenwood University will host a forum titled “You don’t vote, but you should,” including a distinguished panel of scholars and community leaders on March 2 at 3:30 p.m. in the Spellmann Center’s Anheuser-Busch Leadership Rooms to discuss why the 2020 election could be the most significant in a generation.

Lindenwood University’s bachelor’s degrees in philosophy and religion were recently recognized as an outstanding value among degrees in philosophy for 2020 by Great Value Colleges. The ranking placed Lindenwood’s BA in philosophy and religion second in the nation and first in Missouri.

Lindenwood University has announced a new program, Lindenwood Advantage, that will provide loan repayment assistance to graduates who have not yet found employment at a specific salary threshold.

The Lindenwood University School of Humanities is celebrating two significant student publishing successes by senior English majors Abigail Rose Manis and Emerson Holmes. Manis published a scholarly paper in a national peer-reviewed journal, and a creative work by Holmes published in 2019 was nominated for a prestigious Pushcart Prize.

Lindenwood University’s J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts recently hosted 200 guests from St. Charles County’s Youth in Need to attend performances in the national tour of Finding Neverland on Jan. 25, 2020, at no cost.

Lindenwood University's student Involvement Office and Maryville University have entered into a new partnership to co-host the Summit on Leadership Development (SOLD). This full-day conference, entering its 16th year, will be held on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Maryville Campus; Lindenwood students may attend, free of charge.

John R. Porter’s life, education, and career have taken him from Chicago, Ill., to Pittsburgh/Altoona, Penn.; Atlanta, Ga.; Springfield, Mo.; South Africa; and Dubai. In July, he added St. Charles, Mo., to that trajectory as he assumed the role of Lindenwood University’s 23rd president.
